About Us

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!

We are located on beautiful Saturna Island in the Southern Gulf Islands of British Columbia, Canada. Saturna is easily accessible from the nearby cities of Victoria and Vancouver, with BC Ferries offering 4 daily sailings from Swartz Bay on Vancouver Island and Tsawwassen on the Mainland. Our Pub is conveniently located next to the Lyall Harbour ferry terminal, as well as to the public wharf where recreational boaters can find daily and overnight moorage (the first 2 hours are free!). In addition, Seair Seaplanes has 3 daily scheduled flights to Lyall Harbour from Vancouver International Airport.

PEOPLE WHO YOU WOULD LIKE TO MEET

At The Lighthouse Pub, we pride ourselves on our incredible location, our menu offerings, and our killer lineup of live entertainment. Our Pub boasts two expansive ocean-side patios, where diners will be treated not only to the best fish n’ chips in the Southern Gulf Islands, but also to the most spectacular sunsets. Our seasonal menus offer such local delights as the island-grown lamb burger and organic free-range chicken wings. On tap, we serve a large lineup of Lighthouse Brewery beer, which is crafted in nearby Victoria. We also have an excellent selection of wine, cocktails and premium spirits to tantalize even the most sophisticated taste buds.

STEPS AWAY FROM EVERYTHING

Next door to The Lighthouse Pub you’ll find Arbutus Point Campground. Centrally located next to the ferry terminal and public wharf, bicycle and rentals, a coffee shop and convenience store, a gift and several artist studios. The campground makes it possible for visitors to travel to Saturna Island car free, for a budget friendly weekend! For more information and online booking visits Arbutus Point Campground.

EXPLORE THE UNEXPLORED

If you haven’t heard about Saturna Island before, we are home to 350 year-round residents, as diverse as we are colourful– retirees, young families, artists, politicians, entrepreneurs, designers, farmers, builders, socialites and recluses. The people of Saturna are very welcoming, and work tremendously hard to throw awesome events– such as the annual Lamb BBQ, biannual Pig BBQs and Prawn Fest– for locals and visitors alike to enjoy. Nearly half of Saturna Island is protected within the Gulf Islands National Park Reserve which boasts a network of spectacular hiking trails and beaches to entice any traveler. For example, East Point’s lighthouse park is known as a premiere terrestrial whale watching destination, with orcas, humpbacks, and porpoises visiting year round. If you arrive to the island on-foot and are worried about getting around the island to see the sights, don’t fret! We have an amazing island-wide ‘Car Stop’ program (where locals will pick you up at any of the designated stops and drop you off as close to your destination as possible). The Saturna Lions Club also offers a free community shuttle, which meets weekend ferry sailings in the summer season, and is available on an on-call basis the rest of the year.
